BKMS-react is an integrated and non-redundant biochemical reaction database containing known enzyme-catalyzed and spontaneous reactions. Biochemical reactions collected from BRENDA, KEGG, MetaCyc and SABIO-RK were matched and integrated by aligning substrates and products.

coniferyl acetate + NADPH + H+ = eugenol + acetate + NADP+
-
: The enzyme acts in the opposite direction. The enzymes from TAX-39350 (sweet basil) |CITS: [16782809][17912370]|, TAX-36903 and TAX-4102 |CITS:[18208524]| only accept coniferyl acetate and form CPD-6481. The enzyme from TAX-271192 (anise) forms CPD-9933 (from 4-coumaryl acetate) in vivo, although the cloned enzyme can form eugenol from coniferyl acetate [18987218]. The enzyme from TAX-66636 (creosote bush) also forms CPD-6483 from a coumaryl ester and can use NADH [17624297].
