carboxynorspermidine decarboxylase
carboxyspermidine = spermidine + CO2
: A pyridoxal 5'-phosphate enzyme. Part of a bacterial polyamine biosynthesis pathway. The enzyme is essential for biofilm formation in the bacterium TAX-666 [19196710]. The enzyme from TAX-197 only produces spermidine in vivo even though it also shows activity with carboxynorspermidine in vitro [22025614].
